Hi, my name is Shey Smith. I’ve created this blog to open up an avenue by which I can discuss my thoughts and ideas with you, in hopes we can both benefit through shared knowledge, inspiration, or some other means. I’m by no means an expert in any one subject but I have several that interest me including design (particularly web and print), social media, technology, sports, social issues, culture, self-development, and more. Of course, I probably won’t get to all these topics, I’ll let the macroenvironment decide that.

Quick Background info

I’m Jamaican, born in Kingston but lived mostly in the town of Linstead, St. Catherines. I now live in Toronto, Canada where I’ve stayed since 1990. I’ve lived all around around the city: from all around Rexdale to Woodbridge to Scarborough to North York (haha yes, from Rexdale to Woodbridge) and would never want to live anywhere else in the world….ok, maybe somewhere warmer. In 2006, I got married to the the most beautiful woman I could find. I am also a Sabbath/Holy Day-keeping Christian.

In April 2008 I will have completed my B.Comm. in IT Management at Ryerson University where I’ve been studying part time. I’m a desktop publisher in my day job and a freelance web/graphic designer.
